Email, files, calendar, contacts, video calls and documents, in one place. Setting up takes about ten minutes and you only do it once. Three steps.
Until the switch-over day (we will confirm the date at least a week ahead) your email keeps working with your old password, so nothing stops while you set up. Do steps 1 and 2 before that date. On the day, Vatche Vorperian will be available to help you put the new mail password into your phone and computer.
1 Sign in with a passkey
A passkey replaces your password. It is your fingerprint, face or phone PIN, so there is nothing to remember and nothing for anyone to steal.
Open the personal link Vatche Vorperian sent you by WhatsApp. It works once and expires, so open it on the device you will use most.
Choose Create passkey and confirm with your fingerprint, face or PIN.
Do it a second time on another device (your phone and your computer), or save the recovery codes it shows you in your password manager. This is your safety net.
Lost your phone or locked out? Do not worry and do not try to guess. Tell Vatche Vorperian. They can send you a fresh single-use link by WhatsApp. Your email apps keep working while this is sorted out.
2 Create your mail password
Mail apps (Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail app, Thunderbird) cannot use a passkey, so they get their own password. It is a long random password that only works for email, and it never expires.
Used a phone you no longer have? Go back to the page above and press Revoke next to it. That cuts that device off at once.
3 Open your apps
Everything else lives in one place: cloud.opetexitservices.co.ke. Press Log in and use your passkey. There is no separate password to create.
FilesYour documents, with sharing. Works from any device.
CalendarMeetings and invitations. Add a video call to any meeting with one click.
ContactsYour address book, shared across your devices.
TalkChat and video calls with colleagues, from the browser or the phone app.
OfficeOpen a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file in Files and edit it together, live.
MailYour email also appears here once you add it with the mail password.
On your phone
Install the Nextcloud and Nextcloud Talk apps. Enter https://cloud.opetexitservices.co.ke and log in with your passkey in the browser window that opens.
Android calendar and contacts: install DAVx5, choose Login with URL, and enter the same address.
iPhone calendar and contacts: in Nextcloud on a computer open Settings, Security and create an app password for the iPhone. Then in the iPhone Settings, Calendar (or Contacts), Accounts, Add Account, Other add a CalDAV (or CardDAV) account with server cloud.opetexitservices.co.ke, your user name and that app password. Vatche Vorperian can do this with you.
Who to ask
Vatche Vorperian: gsdm@silverfoxassociates.com. For account problems (lost phone, new colleague, someone leaving) ask Vatche Vorperian.
Stay safe. We will never ask you for your passkey, your recovery codes or your mail password, not by email, message or phone. A link to set up a passkey only ever comes from Vatche Vorperian or Vatche Vorperian, and it works once.
